Community, Connections, and Perspectives in History
2016 ACHE Conference
Good history teachers know that making connections among historical events, modern events, and students’ lives is the key to engaging students in history. Conference participants will explore connections between communities and also how local perspectives can be used to make broader national and global connections to historical events. Sessions will include U.S., world, and Arizona history; innovative ways to teach and share history; and address the Arizona literacy standards for history/social studies.
The 2016 conference will be held on August 20, 2016 from 8 am to 4 pm at the Mesa Arts Center. Session titles and abstracts will be available soon.
