Integrating Geography into Your Classroom

 

This is a two hour training on What is Geography and Geographical Thinking? and

What FREE ONLINE resources are available from the Arizona Geographic Alliance? 

All K-12 teachers and administrators from any school or district are welcome to attend.  You do not need to be a social studies or science teacher to benefit from this workshop.  Many AzGA resources integrate curriculum disciplines with Geography – history, STEM, literacy and Geography for Diverse Learners (ELLs).

What to expect:

  • Hands on demonstrations of classroom lessons & activities
  • Website information on free access to over 330 lessons and 200 maps
  • Recertification hours

 

Where:  Arizona State University, Tempe Campus

                Memorial Union, Union Stage (Room 85)

When:  Wednesday, June 27, 2018 |  1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Cost:     Free but you must place a $15 deposit to assure your attendance at this event. If you attend, the deposit will be refunded to you within 48 hours after the workshop ends.
