Yuma Educators Summit Accepting Session Proposals for Conference

Inaugural  event to be held June 25-26 for educators k-12.

Yuma, Ariz. The Yuma Educators Summit has opened for proposed sessions for their summer 2020 conference. The theme of the conference is “Increasing Access and Equity in Education.” Sessions in three topic areas are requested: Access, Equity, or Engagement. All those interested in presenting to a varied audience of educators in the southwest are encouraged to fill out the application at yesyuma.org/session-proposals.  

Keynote speakers from across the United States have been acquired for YES 2020, and a schedule of sessions is in progress. Session topics approved thus far include education funding from Save Our Schools Arizona, and Sketchnotes, a visual notetaking system. Session proposals will be accepted until April 1, 2020.

Yuma Educators Summit board member Eliana Osborn says, “This is a great opportunity for the Yuma community. To have professional development available across the nine districts in our county is something I’ve wanted to see for a long time.”
